Hi everyone-
We thought it would be helpful to remind you of a few things that you need to have ready before Trek THIS THURSDAY!

1- A PIONEER NAME- If you don't have one get one! Along with a short story about that person or tell us about their life.
2- 2 PIONEER OUTFITS to wear. ( Refer to your Personal Equipment list)
3- Bring Sturdy worn in SHOES, don't bring new ones.
4-Bring good SOCKS! We should have a thinner pair along with a regular pair for each day!! Blisters is the biggest problem they have. We have heard socks with NO COTTON is best to prevent blisters.
5- You should have a 5 GALLON BUCKET. (pack all your items on the list in here)
6- You need to bring a SLEEPING BAG, PILLOW and SMALL SLEEPING PAD. These need to be in a GARBAGE BAG with YOUR NAME on it.
7- When you come Thursday morning remember to bring a SACK LUNCH!
ON THE TREK NEED TO START TODAY DRINKING AT LEAST 8 GLASSES OF WATER A DAY TO BE PREPARED.
8- Wed. July 28th is the BUCKET CHECK. You must have your bucket with EVERYTHING you are taking inside, keep 1 outfit out to wear on Thursday (besides your sleeping gear and a sack lunch) YOUR BUCKET MUST BE AT THE STAKE CENTER BETWEEN 6-7 P.M. IT CANNOT WEIGH MORE THAN 17 lbs. Remember, we want them light we will be pulling them in our carts. Only bring the items on the list. Write your name on it!
19- Everyone needs to be at the STAKE CENTER Dressed in your Pioneer clothes Thursday July 29 at 8:30 A.M. with their Sleeping gear and a sack lunch
We will be heading home around 3 p.m. Saturday

Hope this doesn't overwhelm you! Please let us help. We know all the work we do now will be well worth it and we'll gain a deeper appreciation for our ancestors and a firmer testimony of our Savior. Thanks for all you are doing.

Thanks to Hilary Weeks we had a great fireside tonight! Thanks to everybody that came! We hope you are as excited as we are about the Trek! Just 10 days away! If you didn't get a flier the equipment list is right here on the right column. Check it out. Bucket Check is on the 28th from 6 to 7 at the Stake Center. Everybody needs to be at the Stake center on Thursday morning at 8:30 AM. with their Sack Lunch and plastic bag with their sleeping bag with their name on it.

Fireside July 18th

Tonight is our last fireside before our Trek! We hope everybody will be able to come! It is for all youth 12 and up 7:00 at the Stake Center. 10 days untill the Bucket check! We hope you are all getting ready! Walk every day and get ready physically along with Spiritually. Everybody needs to have a name of an ancestor, or pioneer that they want to bring with them. See ya tonight!

Itinerary

Here is a link to the Itinerary so far. A few things that were discussed at the meeting is that the Wards are responsible to get their Wards Youth to the Mosida Lodge. The Ma's and Pa's will need to go earlier so they and the Captains will not be able to drive the Youth to the Lodge. Bishop's could help, and other Youth Leaders, parents, etc. It isn't very far away, about 45 min drive. The ward are also responsible to get the Youth back home. We would like to invite all the Youth Leaders that would like to share in this experience to come on Saturday for the BBQ If you come at 12:00 you can help set it up and have everything ready for our Youth to arrive at 1:00. Then drive the Youth home at 3:00. Thanks for of you help!!!!

First Aid Clinic

We had a Medical clinic yesterday! It was great! We learned a lot about the basic things we need to know to have a great Trek. There is a link to the information on the right under First Aid info.

Medical Training meeting

There will be a medical training meeting for all Ma'a and Pa's and Captains and Youth reps. Please try to attend. Thanks for everything you are doing to help make this Trek a success!

Our Trek is coming fast and we all have lots to do! We just posted the list of Trek songs. Become familiar with the songs so you will be able to sing them on the trail. The Medical forms need to be turned in this week! Wow July came so fast! If you could just drop them by that would be great! 1939 S 375 W (brick house)
